Welcome

Cross the Street is an organization committed to creating and promoting initiatives that will inspire neighbors to develop relationships with one another. It promotes exactly what the name implies; that neighbors would ‘Cross the Street’ and embark on a relationship with a new neighbor. Good quality relationships with our neighbors have diminished significantly over the past several decades. While there are many influences that have lead to this trend our sense of community has not weakened to the point of no return. Building community can often be as simple as taking the initiative to Cross the Street.

To Whom It May Concern:
I write to express my strong and continued support for the Cross the Street initiative, spearheaded by Ms. Rhonda Webb. I am proud that this effort has gotten its start in my hometown of Saginaw. Cross the Street's laudable goal - to reestablish the value and practice of community through encouragement of simple neighborly gestures - is timeless.
Each year the enthusiasm surrounding Cross the Street Day is both notable and contagious. Those who participate in the Cross the Street festivities truly do contribute to the social fabric of our community in a way that is undeniably important: neighbors meeting neighbors. I know firsthand the impact such a simple act can have on a citizen, their family, and their neighborhood.
I heartily endorse the Cross the Street initiative and encourage citizens across our community to join in the cause.
